The chef is coming on strong to win Yoon-ah’s heart. Dong-gu has some fierce competition…but will a game of Gonggi choose the victor? In the way men think…yes. In blossoming love news, I love that Jun-gi told Seo-jin he would give dating her a shot! But I also love that he still sees her as a little girl. I guess their age gap is pretty big, maybe 8 years? So I can see him still seeing her as this prepubescent little thing, whereas he has always looked the same in her eyes.
We are back with the new storyline after the extension! I can only guess that the patisserie chef will be given a larger role in this new storyline and that Seo-jin and Jun-gi’s relationship can blossom. This episode was so funny so whatever the storyline, I am with it.
It looks like Waikiki is getting an extension! There will be a two episode special next week, which will show commentary for the show. After that special edition, the show will be extended for 4 episodes. I agree with TradeWinds44 who said that this is probably an extension to give jtbc time to figure out what to do with Clean With Passion for Now, which is under a sudden filming hiatus.
Dong-gu’s not very well kept secret is finally out! Finally. I just want him and Yoon-ah to just spend some more time together so I can laugh at all the awkwardness. But the thing I am more interested in this episode is the blossoming love between Seo-jin and Jun-gi. I hope they show that a lot today.
Okay, I don’t think Dong-gu can deny his feelings anymore after that heroic hug at the end episode 7. But you know he’ll try. I also want to know what Seo-jin was doing with all those clothes on in the preview. But more than that, I feel like the writer is hinting at a little more between her and Jin-gu. Will Seo-jin and Jun-gi become a couple? I WOULD LOVE THAT SO MUCH.
I am way behind on my editing of last weeks Waikiki (and Radio Romance), but I plan on doing it all today sometime (hopefully). But in the meantime, let’s all enjoy all the laughs that you know today is going to bring. As for predictions, maybe Dong-gu will lean more towards his feelings for Yoon-ah?
The last episode of Waikiki had me in stitches with how JD had to handle the writer/director situation. Poor JD, he had his first recurring acting job, but now he is jobless once again. Did anyone see the preview? Because that wedding scene is throwing me for a loop.
This recap of Waikiki will be an aftercap since we are recapping it after Radio Romance ends. We also plan on recapping Should We Kiss, First? which airs at the same time as Radio Romance. We are not sure how that one will fit into the schedule, but we think we will do it as an aftercap, after Waikiki airs (when everything is back to its normal schedule).
Waikiki almost lost me the last 2 episodes with the super gross snot/booger humor. THAT WAS SO GROSS! Luckily it had so many other funny moments and even a few heartfelt moments that pulled me back in. Waikiki, please keep the body fluid jokes to a minimum, okay? I want to keep watching you, just let me watch you!
We are live recapping this one as soon as Radio Romance episode 6 ends. So this will actually be an aftercap since it will air while episode 6 of Radio Romance airs but we won’t recap it until an hour later. We will get started on it as soon as possible though.
I’m ready for some more laughs and from the preview it looks like they will deliver. I really shouldn’t have watched the preview though, I don’t want to be spoiled on any of the laughs to come!
