LAST EPISODE. Wow, it is so hard to believe the Hwayugi is coming to an end in a few short hours. I cannot believe it! It has been a wild ride (of me raging at the screen) from December until now with all the craziness that these gods and monsters have brought us. I was shocked at yesterdays ending, but I am still holding out hope for a happy ending somehow? Pretty please? Thank you for a great three-month ride, Hwayugi! I’m also going to miss all the Hwayugies that came out to live recap with us over here! It has been so much fun ^_^ .
Okay, y’all, collective breath…this is the second to last episode of Hwayugi and OG is going to battle a dragon. But before all of that gets started, we have to find out what happened in the morning after Seon-mi and Oh Gong had their first (and last?) night together, FINALLY. Can we have just 5 minutes of cuteness to start the episode please, drama? Just a moment where they can cuddle and gain some strength before they have to go save the world?
Okay, yesterday’s episode was really confusing to me and the editing gave me drama whiplash. But I like JY299’s comment about what OG might be thinking. I also agree with dramaalpaca about yesterdays’ episode being setup for today’s episode.
I don’t know what is going to happen and I am so hesitant to try and guess. I know Oh Gong is super upset and is ready to put his life on the line for Seon-mi. You already know Seon-mi is ready to do the same (she has demonstrated enough). I kind of think Oh Gong will be all ready to sacrifice himself for Seon-mi, but then Seon-mi will beat him to it and sacrifice herself for him and the rest of the world. But that shouldn’t happen for three more episodes right? All I know is that I am along for this ride until the (bitter?) end.
I know I am reaching when I say that I want Seon-mi to remove the GGG, but I really want her to! I’m fine with him putting it back on right away. I just want to see that initial reaction of freedom. But from the text preview we know that the GGG is about to get even more deeply invested in OG’s life, on a Skyworld fate level. Le sigh, how much more must OG endure, writers? TELL ME.
I am thoroughly confused as to what is going to happen this episode. Hwayugi has this weird way of not making sense and yet keeping me watching somehow. I really feel for OG in not being able to help Seon-mi (aka Sam-jang/SJ). Hopefully he finds a way to help her out or she finds a way to help herself and they can get some quality cuddle time in before the next disaster strikes.
Poor Ma Wang! Hopefully his body recovers from that shooting star attack (or whatever that was, I don’t know) and he gets back to tormenting OG. Also, let’s bring the real Buja back this episode. I miss my little zombie girl.
Y’all, I am finally over my runny nose and cough and everything. I feel so much better. It couldn’t have happened at a better time because Hwayugi and the Hong sisters demand lots of typing. They talk so fast! I am really looking forward to finding out how the preview actually shakes out this episode. We know, they be trying to mislead us and stuff…don’t you fall for it!
The ending of the last episode pretty much cleared up how SJ can kill Oh-gong. I don’t think Oh-gong believed it himself, until he felt it. The pained and unsettled look on his face when he turned and saw Seon-mi, the blood trickling down his lip, said it all. I feel like we are all about to be destroyed at the end of this episode. Can’t our OTP have just one hour of reprieve? I beg you.
I am so ready to watch this episode. This week went by at a snail pace. It made me think that we missed a live recap, that is how slow this week felt. Hopefully the mystery of Buja (aka Z) will be resolved this episode. Will she turn bad, won’t she? Did the octopus prince take over her body? We will soon see!
