Instagram Roundup: Yang Jin-Sung for April 2017

Yang Jin-Sung Instagram account

One of the dramas I am watching right now is Chicago Typewriter. I haven’t been able to watch it regularly (work..sigh), but I have caught the first few episodes. One of the actresses in that drama is Yang Jin-Sung (양진성). At first glance I thought she looked a lot like Jang Nara‘s (장나라) baby sister; she not only has her look, she also has that same adorable quality that Jang Nara has.

Third-Rate My Way has a new name: Fight My Way!

Fight My Way Par Seo Joon Kim Ji-won
Fight My Way

Just stepping in on a Friday to share that Third-Rate My Way has changed it’s name to Fight My Way (쌈 마이웨이). I’m not sure if I like it or not, I think I need to let it grow on me. The main foursome is called The Dumbheaded Fantastic Four, which is a crazy wonderful name for childhood friends. I image these guys are super stupid together, but are also like superheroes when they are together. The production said to expect a romance, a war-mance, a bro-mance, and a four-mance. I don’t even know what that means, but I’m game.

Lee Je-Hoon’s dramatic transformation for Park Yeol 박열

I love these posters of Lee Je-Hoon (이제훈) as Park Yeol (박열). I mean, I barely recognized him, talk about a transformation! Park Yeol is the true story of the bastard of Joseon (Park Yeol) who faced Japanese imperialists, who attempted to conceal the massacre of 6,000 Koreans in Tokyo in 1923. It will also depict his comrade and lover, Rumiko, who was a large part of his life. The top right of the poster reads “I am the bastard of Joseon,” the bottom right reads “The real story that shook Japanese imperialism.”

Ssam, My Ways’ Ssammantic couple

I mentioned this drama on my post over on Dramabeans, but I wanted to get into a bit more detail on the title and the mention of ssammantic couple. To recap: KBS has a new drama coming up called Third-Rate My Way (쌈마이웨이). Third-Rate My Way is a drama about the growing romance between two people who have a “Third-Rate” life but want to have a “My Way” of life regardless of what others say. So even though they don’t have a good resume, they still want to live the kind of life they want to live. I so feel that.

The anatomy of a poster for My Sassy Girl

I posted about this over on Dramabeans, but I wanted to get more into detail on the poster so here it is! To recap, My Sassy Girl, starring Joo Won and Oh Yeon-Seo is a rom-com remake of the titular movie that shot Jeon Ji-Hyun to stardom. In this version the story is set in the Joseon Dynasty and will have some royal drama thrown in (the original one was set in contemporary Korea and didn’t have much drama outside the couple, but in order to extend a movie to ~16 episode, I can see why the writers are adding some extra stuff in).
